You'd think that a glass bead at least an inch in diameter would be pretty heavy. But only if it's solid, and these gorgeous beads are all hollow! They weigh a fraction of what you'd expect.

I make every lightweight hollow glass bead by hand by melting coloured rods in a torch. I shape every bead uniquely, then anneal them all in a digitally-controlled kiln.Once the beads are cool I etch them for a soft matte finish.

I give this pendant a sophisticated finish with small bead accents, silver plated or antique bronze chain, and a tassel. The Pebble Pendant is 28 inches long, and the hollow bead is 1-1.25 in in diameter.
