Colour combinations await

I store my glass rods in canvas sleeves like this one to keep them sorted and dust-free. So when I unroll the sleeve I see an emerging rainbow of colour that always makes my heart beat a iittle faster.

I don't know a beadmaker who isn't captivated by colour. When we get together at one another's studios we always ooh and aah over the different and beautiful ways we have organized our glass. Seriously, sometimes we just stare.

There's always a delightful pause before I start making beads. What will it be today? Transparent colours or opaque ones? Something new and experimental, or things I've done before? A bit of both? That decision-making process allows me to refresh/reset my mind before sitting down to the torch. Once the glass calls, everything else has to wait.
